Our story
Not Your Grandmother’s Granola LLC, doing business as Next Granola, started in March 2024 as an alternative to commercial granola. In general, we found commercial granola to be too sugary or too trendy and lacking in wholesome deliciousness with good nutrient value. Wanting the perfect balance of great tasting granola and a granola that was good for you, Next Granola was created. Its recipe was inspired by Nekisia Davis’ Olive Oil and Maple Granola of Early Bird Foods.
Committed to using whole grain and whole foods—no fillers, no extracts, no preservatives, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, Next Granola is selling at farmers markets, online, including pickup orders at Amherst and Hadley MA locations, and in stores: River Valley Co-op—Easthampton and Northampton, MA locations, The Mill District General Store in Amherst, MA, and Amba Cafe in East Cambridge, MA.

Making delicious, yet really-good-for-you granola has been Susan’s passion and focus the past few years. What started out as baking deliciously healthy granola for family and friends, she has taken it to the next level— establishing a small-batch granola business so other granola lovers and soon-to-be granola lovers can also enjoy it.
